These untitled paintings are working with ideas of location in the landscape.
They often begin with clouds as part of a landscape and then become grid patterns. They reflect that our engagement with landscape is fragmented.
We no longer understand wild outside the grided patterns of google earth and satellite mapping.
It is from the clouds we understand the world...and yet we used to look at clouds for guidance of weather of what wild things can change around us.
