Tricksters and Huldefolke

This series of images were created while artist in residence in Skargastrond in the north of Iceland.

The images play with a remote landscape and the local folklore and beliefs alongside the shifting climate and subsequent problems evident in that landscape.

The images use a basic mask and both friends and strangers 'playing' troll, a strong belief in Scandinavian countries.
